We're (finally) Moving Back to Boudinot!!
Our move back to the newly renovated and upgraded Dater Montessori on Boudinot Avenue will happen over Spring Break which is March 20th through March 29th (including an extra day for our move). Teachers and staff will be very busy preparing and packing for the move during the next few weeks.
An extraordinary effort will be required from all of us to make this a smooth transition and avoid instructional disruption. Contact you childs class room parent to see how you can help!
Many hands will move this mountain easily.

Dater Montessori Welcome Packet
The Dater PTN's Welcome Packet was designed by parent volunteers in the hope of making the “Welcome to School” easier. It was designed with the intention of letting new families know about some of our traditions and allow all families better planning for the school year!
CPS PowerSchool System
CPS is pleased to provide access to your student's current grades and attendance through their new PowerSchool system. PowerSchool is replacing ParentConnect beginning in the 2009-2010 school year. Dater's Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Arrival and dismissal is a fast -paced and energetic time for students and staff. The staff has brainstormed some possible strategies for making this transition run smoother. Click on the heading above to link to the Arrival and Dismissal Procedures flyer.
As always we ask that families are patient, safe and respectful.
Things to know:
- The school day is 9:15-3:45pm . We begin accepting students at 8:45am . This is a change from previous years. We ask that you not drop off your child(ren) before 8:45am . There is no adult supervision before that time. The YMCA program is available for parents who are interested in before and/or after care. Please contact Mrs. Wells at 363-0977.
- Office hours are 8:15-4:15pm .
- All students may participate in our Universal Breakfast program. When students arrive at school, they may go to the cafeteria and get breakfast. If your child arrives late, they may still get breakfast.
- All visitors must sign in at the office and get a Visitor’s badge. Please do not get offended if a staff member asks to see your badge. It is only for the safety of your staff and students.
- We ask that you do not park in the numbered spaces. These spaces are reserved for staff. The white lined spaces are for the Roberts’ staff. Please be respectful of their space and do not park in those spaces.
- Please refer to the calendar link to view upcoming events.
Parent Volunteer Opportunities
We are in desperate need for someone to set up the After School Enrichment Program. We will put you in touch with the past chairpersons. There is an abundance of information to help. If no one steps up there will be no program.
If you are interested in the following events please call the corresponding chairperson, or PTN President Mary Anne Cowgill at 699-7310, or have Laura drop a note into her mailbox.
Don’t be afraid to take the first step.
