We are so fortunate to be part of the amazing Dater Montessori Community! The Local School Decision Making Committee (LSDMC) is a team comprised of parents, teachers, staff, administration, community partners, and our Lead Agency.

Our goal is to ensure that Dater's OnePlan is implemented to its fullest potential, and that ALL children at Dater feel supported in the classroom. Through active involvement and discussions with all stakeholders of the Dater Community, LSDMC looks to provide the necessary resources our students, families, and staff need to be successful.

Taking part in LSDMC provides a great opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the school, including academic progress, community engagement, school performance indicators, and addressing district-wide objectives. We also collaborate with the other five Montessori elementary schools and two Montessori high schools offered within CPS through the district's Montessori Coalition.

We have two exciting new additions to LSDMC for this year. We have established partnership with our new Lead Agency: the YMCA. Through our work with them, we have access to a network of resources throughout the district, and in partnership with other west side and Montessori schools to provide enrichments, enhance communication, and coordinate many of the resources that help our students and families thrive. We have also formed a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee this year, as an arm of LSDMC.

We look forward to a wealth of learning and opportunities to build our capacity for accountability and be co-conspirators of anti-racist work. We'd love to hear from you and invite you to join us for a monthly meeting. We meet on the fourth Thursday of the month during the school year from 4:15-5:15 pm in the Dater Library.
