Assistant Principal
Cynthia Vaughn
Ms. Cynthia Vaughn has been Assistant Principal at Dater Montessori Elementary School since August 1, 2022. She is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio where she graduated from Princeton High School. Ms. Vaughn earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Bennett College and her master’s degree from Xavier University.
Ms. Vaughn has over twenty years of educational experience. She has served as a teacher, Title 1 Reading Specialist, assistant principal, special education manager, and principal. Ms. Vaughn has also been the CEO of her own business, Education Innovations, LLC, where she provided professional development and training to local school districts and charter schools, facilitated an adolescent social emotional learning group called Growing Girls, and she served as an expert member of the Academic Distress Review Team for Ohio Department of Education Academic Distress Commission and Education Reform.
She enjoys working alongside of teachers, para professionals, intervention specialist, school phycologist, social workers, speech-language pathologist, occupational and physical therapist, for the success of all students.
Ms. Vaughn has a son, Tyler, and grandson, Tristian. She loves spending time with them. Ms. Vaughn is the youngest of four sisters and three brothers. If you were to ask them to tell you something about her, they would say that she has always loved children and has always wanted to work in education.
