Maria Meyer – Senior Support Specialist
Maria Meyer has a deep love for both Dater Montessori and the Westwood community. Her journey with Dater began in the early 2000s when she worked as a substitute teacher, long-term sub, and Instructor’s Assistant while earning her M.A. from Mount St. Joseph University. She was immediately drawn to the school’s diversity, creativity, values, and the kindness and compassion of the Dater community.
Maria’s connection to Dater is not only professionally but deeply personal—both of her children attended Dater Montessori. Her bond with Westwood also runs deep, rooted in childhood memories spent at her father’s business, Tom Bonhaus Auto Service, on Harrison Avenue. Today, Maria and her family continue to live, work, and play in Westwood.
Maria currently serves as one of Dater Montessori’s Senior Support Specialists. She holds a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Dayton, and her passion for art is reflected in her work—her paintings are often featured in local coffee shops and galleries. With a career grounded in nonprofit work and education, Maria returned to Dater in 2023 and remains a proud and dedicated member of the Dater Gator family.
